2019 CYCLING IRELAND CYCLO-CROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS

The last CX round before the 2019 Cycling Ireland CX  Champs took place in Eccleville Equestrian Center in Fintona yesterday 6th January. The event was organised by Omagh Wheelers and was well attended considering the CX Season in Ulster finished with the National Champs in December . We had a few of the normal  Phoenix Sparks youth turn out for the under 10, under 12 and the under 14’s races. This was a new venue for the CX community and it seems to have been well received by all, hopefully it will be added to the the calendar for the 2019 season .

Many riders were using it as a prelim setup for the upcoming Irish Champs at Fota Island Cork this coming weekend . The Junior races take place on Saturday 12th January and entered for the under 14 category is Cara Moffitt and Lucy Brown, good luck to both girls .

On the Sunday the Senior Races take place , to date entered in these races are  Ed Boyle and Daniel Daly
